Frequently Asked Questions
For every £5 contribution, you will join a main group sharing £80 worth of Lottery tickets.
Minimum contribution starts at just £10 in a month (around 33 pence a day). You will join 2 lottery syndicate groups and share a total of £160 Lottery tickets.
E.g. starting at £10 a month=£160 lotto tickets, £15=£240 lotto tickets, £20=£320 lotto tickets and £25 a month=£400 lottery tickets.
There is only 21 members for each lottery syndicate group to avoid diluting the prize in case of a jackpot win.
We always play £80 worth of tickets for every £5 that members pay. The games we play are chosen based on the odds of winnings, frequent changes by Camelot, Prizes available and other offers being made by The National Lottery.
At present, we are playing EuroMillions because of its big jackpot prize and Lotto Hotpicks for better odds of winning something.
We have not played Thunderball as a syndicate because of the poor return for the money in consideration of the odds of winning.
We also rarely play main lotto at the moment because the prize winnings can be very low. The result on the 23/03/2016 when players who matched 5 out of 6 numbers got only £15 each was very disappointing.
We never allow members to be on their own. Even if you are the only one member in a new group, we will buy the extra tickets needed to make each group worth £80.

b) Second, Member's shares:
There will be 21 shares in each Lottery Syndicate group and you will be entitled to one of the 21 shares (1/21) in each of the groups that you belong with.

For Lottery Ticket with cash prize winning/s of more than £1,000
a) First, we will allocate the winnings on Group Shares:
For a winning Lottery Ticket, 80% of the prize will be allocated to the main group who has the winning ticket. The other 20% of the prize will be shared equally by all of our Lotto groups.
Calculation:
Group 1 will get 80% of £10m = £8,000,000
Groups 1 to 10 will share 20% of £10m = £2,000,000/10 groups = £200,000 prize allocated for each group.
b) Second, Member's shares:
There will be 21 shares in each Lottery Syndicate group and you will be entitled to one of the 21 shares (1/21) in each of the groups that you belong with.
Group 1 will have £8m divided by 21 members = £8,000,000/21 shares= £380,952.38 for each share
Groups 1 to 10
a) £2,000,000 will be divided equally to the 10 groups = £200, 000
b) Each group will therefore have £200,000 allocated money
c) £200,000 divided by 21 shares = £9,523.80 for each share
Let us assume you are in groups 1 to 5. Your winnings will be:
Group 1= 380,952.38
Groups 1 to 5 = £9,523.80 x 5 groups = £47,619
Total Winnings = £380,952.38 + £47,619 = £428,571.38
We can also assume that you are in groups 6 to 10, your winnings will be:
Groups 6-10 = £9,523.80 x 5 groups = £47,619
For Lottery Ticket with cash prize winning/s of £1000 or less:
Let us assume there are 10 main lottery syndicate groups and a ticket in group one wins £1,000.
a) First, we will allocate the winnings on Group Shares:
Prize will be allocated equally to all groups.
£1,000 will be divided to 10 groups = £100 allocated for each group
b) Second, Member’s shares:
There will be 21 shares in each Lottery group and you will be entitled to one of the 21 shares (1/21) in each of the groups that you belong with.
£100 divided among 21 shares = £4.76 each share
If you are in 5 groups, you will get £4.76 x 5 groups = £23.80

Being in the same group with one member who got more shares just because he chose the winning number means his gain would be your loss or the other way around. Getting 50% or 60% of the winnings is of little difference from playing on your own.
21 members winning together and potentially having a life changing experience will be better than one member enjoying the winnings while others share the spoils.

At our current pace, we can accept up to £50 a month via Standing order sharing £800 main lotto tickets across 10 main groups.
You will have access to your lotto group’s national lottery ticket numbers so you can check it individually.
